Josiah A. Britton

September 12, 1911 — February 1, 2007

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 10 am in Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, Mountainside for Josiah "Joe" A. Britton. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Wilks Barre, PA. Visiting will be held from 6-8 pm on Monday in the Gray Funeral Home 318 East Broad St. Westfield.
Mr. Britton, age 95 was born in Flemington and has lived in Mountainside since 1940. He was a graduate of Rutgers Class of 1933 receiving a degree in mechanical engineering and also a gold seal. He was employed as a superintendant for PSE&G from 1940 until his retirement in 1973.
His wife, Florence passed away in 2006. He is survived by one son, James Britton. six daughters; Marion Crawford, Maureen Warren, Alice Seidel, Phyllis Weinstein, Patricia Kopp, and Eleanore Landry. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Donations in Mr. Brittons memory may be made to the Center For Hope Hospice.
