Judith (Judi) Byrne (nee Reutzel) passed away at home, while under hospice care, on Tuesday, January 23rd,2018 after having been diagnosed with leukemia just three weeks prior.
A long time resident of Jersey City, Judi moved to her sister's and brother-in-law's home in Cranford in 2004. She was employed by Moody's Investor Services in New York City as an Administrative Assistant before becoming disabled in 1985.
Judi's hobbies and interests included talking to her friends on the phone and communicating by email, arts and crafts, making jewelry, providing support for others with mental illness, from which she suffered her entire life, rooting for the Yankees and listening to Steven Tyler/Aerosmith. She was happiest spending time with her family, especially her niece and nephews, loved being around Rupp's Pups dogs and enjoyed trips to the zoo and the Jersey Shore.
Judi is survived by her sister Janet (Jaye) and husband Rich, brother William and wife Winney, nephew Justin and husband Joshua, niece Kristen and boyfriend Erik and children Jerielyz and Noah, her best friends Tina and Marianne and many others. She was predeceased by her parents Muriel (nee Corey) and William Reutzel.
A private memorial service will be held by the family as per Judi's wishes.
