Mrs. June L. Blair (nee Workman), 83, of Cranford, NJ, died on June 4, 2015 at Overlook Medical Center from complications of a long illness.
June's Life Celebration will begin at 10AM Saturday June 13, 2015 at Gray Funeral Directors, 12 Springfield Ave, Cranford, where her Service of Remembrance will begin at 11 AM Saturday. Private interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Mrs. Blair lived in Cranford for 51 years. She attended Battin High School in Elizabeth. She was employed for many years by the Cranford Board of Education and later went on to work for Schering Plough Corporation, from which she subsequently retired. June enjoyed playing bridge regularly with a group of friends and was a member of the Village Improvement Association in Cranford. She was a girl-scout leader for many years and was an active participant in troop activities including several memorable camping trips over the years. She enjoyed gardening, needlework and knitting and was an avid pet lover. After her retirement, she and her husband, James Blair, enjoyed traveling and then enjoyed helping out as loving care-givers for their grandson during his pre-school and early grammar school years.
Mrs. Blair was pre-deceased by her husband, James G. Blair in August of 2014. She is survived by her daughter June Hall and her husband David, of Westfield, NJ and her grandson, Matthew Hall.
