June Westdyke McDaniel
June W. McDaniel, formerly of Westfield, died Sunday August 27, at her residence in Fellowship Village,
Basking Ridge, NJ. She was 92 years of age. June was predeceased by her husband Raymond W. McDaniel.
June volunteered for many years at The Consignmant Shop, Flemington, NJ. Benefits of which go to
trasitional house of Safe in Hunterdon to help victims of domestic violence.
June's lifetime love of animals prompted her to qualify her beloved dog, Pepper, as a therapy dog with
Therapy Dogs International. Together they volunteered within the community especially with battered
womens shelters.
June is survived by her three children and their families. Patricia McD Sedwick and husband Ray of Houston, TX,
Carol McD Braun and husband Dr. Frederick Braun of Vero Beach, Florida, and Raymond W. McDaniel Jr and
wife Lori of New York City and Quogue, NY. Seven grandchildren: Douglas Sedwick, June Schnabl, Lisa Morris,
Geoffrey Birchall, Allison DeMichael, Jake McDaniel and David McDaniel. June also has six great grandchildren.
