Lawrence was the son to Lawrence V. French, a great great grandson of Richard French, founder of Westfield, NJ. He was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Westfield.
Surviving are three sisters, Arline Charity, Brenda Failla, and Cynthia French. Also survived by 6 nieces and nephews, and 4 great nieces and nephews.
All services are private under the direction of the Gray Funeral Home 318 E. Broad St. Westfield.
