Louis Allen Fischer, 75, resident of 211 Little River Drive, widower of Jean Crickenberger Fischer, died November 25, 2009 at Hospice House. Born December 21, 1933 in Cranford, NJ, he was a son of the late Herman Allen and Olive Garda Fischer. He was a graduate of Westfield High School and retired from Quaker State Oil Company. He was a Veteran of the US Navy having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a Rotarian, a member of the US Power Squadron in McCormick and was a member of the Lutheran Church by the Lake. Mr. Fischer was preceded in death by a sister Margaret Brooks. Survivors include two sons, David John Fischer and his wife, Valerie of Hammond, LA and Robert A. Fischer and his wife, Connie of Orville, OH; two daughters, Patti J. Wallentine and husband, John of Monroe Township, NJ and Nancy J. Linn and husband, Carl of Bucyrus, OH; grandchildren, April Fischer, Lindsi Fischer, John Wallentine, Linda Wallentine, Cara Linn, Louis Fischer and Tommy Fischer; step-grandchildren, Nicholas Linn, Chelsey Linn and Alex Linn; a great grandchild, Jordynn Fischer; step-great grandchildren, Ty Linn and Ava Fadley. Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Church by the Lake Building Fund, 100 Twelve Oaks Drive, Highway 378, McCormick, SC 29835 or to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
