Lucy Pugliese (Pepe) passed away on September 21st at the young age of 101. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Fortunata Pepe; her husband John; six brothers and sisters Marie Faimali, Antionette Faiello, Anthony Pepe, Rose Pannullo, Alfred Pepe and Viola DeDeo, who she now joins in their special place in heaven. She was the loving aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews who she treated like her own children and she was loved by all of them. Lucy spent her married years in Brooklyn, N.Y. and Middle Village in Queens, N.Y. before moving to New Jersey to be closer to her family after her husband died. A member of the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes for many years, Lucy loved watching the Yankees play baseball and for her 95th birthday, she was treated by her nieces and nephews to a day at Yankee Stadium to watch her favorite team. She loved spending time with her family and friends. If there was a party, she would be there and probably bring a cake. Lucy was a wonderful daughter, wife, sister and aunt and will be missed by all who knew her. Lucy's funeral mass will be celebrated at 11am Tuesday September 27, 2022 at the Church of the Little Flower, 310 Plainfield Ave, Berkeley Heights, NJ, where the family will receive friends from 10:00AM until mass time on Tuesday.
