Madeline Cervasi of Mountainside passed away on June 5, 2006 in Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel.
Mrs. Cervasi was born in Costantino Potenza Albanese, Italy and came to the United States in 1919 settling in Newark. She lived in Middlesex for several years and has lived in Mountainside since 1978.
Following World War II she was the first albanian woman to own and manage several rental properties in Newark.
She then became a homemaker.
She was a member of the Rosary Society of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Mountainside. She was also a memebr of the Mountainside Senior Citizens and also belonged to their dance troupe which performed at several local nursing homes.
Her husband, Columbo passed away in 1978.
She is survived by two sons, David and Daniel.
She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
