Margaret Irene (Nee Sammons) Meyer

Margaret Meyer (nee Sammons), 98, of Roselle Park, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 26, 2023. Margaret was born in Bayonne, NJ, where she met her future husband Haroid. They were married in 1946, having been married for 76 years. In 1949, Harold and Margaret moved to Kenilworth, where they raised their two children. Margaret was a very involved full-time Mom. In 1969, she started her career as an owner/operator of the Paper Place card store in Roselle Park, where she retired after 25 years. Margaret enjoyed road trips. She loved to visit casinos, especially the Turning Stone Resort casino in upstate New York, with her husband Harold.
Margaret was predeceased by her 3 siblings: Dotty, Harriet, Robert, and her grandson, Justin. She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Harold, son; Dennis and wife Diane, daughter: Elizabeth Carpenter, and husband William. Margaret is the loving grandmother of Carissa, Ryan and wife Lauren, Kevin and wife Jamie, and four great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to Margaret's visitation from 9:00-11:00AM Wednesday March 1, 2023, at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, NJ, where her funeral service will begin at 11:00AM.
