Marian Elizabeth Wittnebert

Marian E. Wittnebert, of New Providence, entered into rest at her home on the evening of August 2, 2011 after a lengthy illness. She was 92. Born in Jersey City and raised in Cranford, she was a daughter of the late Albert Reiners and his wife Ada (Broadway). She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Reiners of Hinsdale, Illinois, her sister, Marjorie Reiners of New York City, and her husband, Allan Wittnebert of New Providence. Mrs. Wittnebert lived in New Providence for 57 years, where she worked for C.R. Bard. She was also a long-standing and active member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, New Providence. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Alice Wittnebert, her sister, Anne Reiners, and her step-granddaughter, Michele Borer Hipp and family. A service will be held at St. Andrew's, 419 South Street, New Providence, on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 1:00 PM, followed by interment in the Garden of St. Francis¸ also located at St. Andrew's. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer's Association would be a wonderful memorial. Arrangements by Gray Memorial Funeral Home in Cranford.
