A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 4:00PM, Sunday, October 5, 2008, at Sandusky Yacht Club, Sandusky, Ohio for Marilyn L. Muth. Ms. Muth, 82 passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Firelands Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 11:00AM, Monday, September 22, 2008 at Fairview Cemetery, 1100 East Broad Street, Westfield, NJ followed by a luncheon and celebration of life.
She was born February 15, 1926, in Chicago and lived in Westfield, New Jersey, prior to moving to Sandusky, Ohio, in 1966.
Ms. Muth received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilson College, Chambersburg, PA, in 1947.
She retired in 1987 after 37 years with the then New Departure-Hyatt Bearings Division of General Motors Corporation.
She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Erie County, Sandusky Yacht Club, Sandusky Sailing Club, and the College Women's Club of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur W., in 1972, and mother, Catherine (nee Lonergan), in 1963.
