Mary C. Burke

Mary C. Burke age 90 died on Thursday September 10, 2009 at her sons residence in in Union, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she had lived in Del Ray Beach Florida. Mary earned her PHD from the University of Pennsylvania. She was a Biochemist for the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, retiring in 1992. She is pre deceased by her husband, Sylvan E. Burke (1993). She is survived by a son, James E. Burke, and a brother John Howard Lanning. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12 to 4 pm at the Gray Funeral Home 318 E. Broad St. Westfield. Services and burial to be announced.
