Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 10:30 am at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield for Merwin M. Terry, Jr.
Arrangements are by Gray Funeral Home, Westfield.
Mr. Terry, 90, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. He was born in Elizabeth and resided in Cranford for many years before moving to Linden in 1950.
Mr. Terry was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army. He was employed by General Motors as a distribution clerk for many years until retiring in 1974. He then worked part time for Union County Parks and Recreation Department as a clerk at Ashbrook Golf Course and Galloping Hill Golf Course. He was also an avid bowler and served as secretary-treasurer for the Linden Industrial League.
He is predeceased by his wife, Josephine. Surviving are his son, Merwin M. Terry III and his sister Louise Egbert.
