Michael Bonchalk

Michael Bonchalk, 92 passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at the Francis E. Parker Memorial Home in Piscataway. He was born in Pennsylvania and has lived in Cranford since 1952. Mr. Bonchalk worked as a coal miner and then spent over 30 years with Elizabethtown Gas, Co. After his retirement he was a crossing guard in Cranford. He was a member of St. Thomas The Apostle Byzentine Church in Rahway. He was predeceased by his wife Alice in 2005. Mr. Bonchalk is survived by his daughters; Sylvia Gratacos and Judith Bonchalk. He will also be deeply missed by his four grandchildren and one great grandson. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-7 pm at the Gray Memorial Funeral Home; 12 Springfield, Ave, Cranford. A funeral Liturgy will be on Friday at 9 am at St. Thomas The Apostle Byzantine Church, Rahway. Interment will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park.
