Michael P. Ellenbacher

Michael P. Ellenbacher, 63, passed away on July 29, 2023 at RWJ University Hospital Rahway surrounded by his family. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Janet Ellenbacher, and his two beloved daughters Michele and Jenna Ellenbacher. He spent the majority of his life living in Cranford, NJ, including the home where he lived with his wife and raised his family for over thirty years.

Mike was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend. He pursued a career as a computer programmer to support his family. He was very passionate about music and spent his young adult years with the 27th Lancers and the Patriots drum and bugle corps. Mike loved to support his sports teams - Mets, Devils, Giants, Rutgers Football, and especially his daughter’s soccer and track teams. He was an avid science fiction reader and enjoyed trivia and puzzle games such as crosswords and sudoku. Mike was known for his quiet demeanor and his quick wit, and he was always one to make the room laugh with a good joke.

 The viewing will be held on Friday August 4th from 4-8 PM with service the following morning Saturday August 5th at 11 AM at Gray Memorial Funeral Home on 12 Springfield Avenue in Cranford, NJ.
