Michael Fedroff

Michael Fedroff, 84 of Lakewood passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the Leisure Park Nursing and rehabilitation Center in Lakewood. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visit on Sunday, Feb. 17 from 2 pm until the time of the service at 3:45 pm in the Gray Memorial Funeral Home; 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford. Interment will be private.
Mr. Fedroff was born in Jersey City and lived in Cranford for many years before moving to Bradenton, Florida in 1976.
Michael was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps and proudly served his country during World War II.
Upon being discharged from the military, Michael began a 28 year career with the Cranford Police Department. During his time on the police department he oversaw the detective bureau. He retired from the department with the rank of Detective Lieutenant.
He and his wife, Helen, enjoyed retirement in Florida for over thirty years and while living in Florida, Michael was a lifetime member of the VFW in Bradenton.
Michael is survived by his wife Helen; Two sons, John of Las Vegas and David of Bridgewater. He will also be deeply missed by his five grandchildren; Christopher, Scott, Chrissy, Brian and Kevin along with his three nieces; Carol Abram of Cranford, Patricia Bilangi of Dumont and Mary Sauer of Hillsborough, Oregon.
