Mildred Speck, 92, of Garwood, passed away on Thursday August 25, 2016, at her residence.
Mildred's Life Celebration will be on Sunday August 28th, from 2-4 and 7-9PM, at Gray Funeral Directors, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10AM Monday August 29, 2016, at St. Casimir Catholic Church, 91 Pulaski St., Newark. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Born in Newark, she had resided in Garwood since 1976. Mrs. Speck had worked for the Prudential Insurance Company, Newark. An avid reader, she enjoyed sewing, and cooking, especially making her special Christmas cookies each year. She was the beloved wife of the late Kazimier Speck, and is survived by three children: son, Eric Speck and his wife Laura, daughter: Sharon Speck, son: Brian Speck and his wife: Julia, two grandchildren: Abigail Folcik and her husband Thomas, Brad Speck and his fiancée Caitlin, and the three joys of her life, her three great granddaughters: Alice, Jane, and Claire Folcik.
