Nancy E. (Nee Scott) Murphy

Nancy Murphy, 57, of Westfield/Avenel, passed away of natural causes on August 20, 2020.

Born to Eileen and Elliott Scott, November 11, 1962, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Nancy graduated from Westfield High School, later achieved an Associates Degree, and was employed in various secretarial positions over the years.

Nancy often stated she was extremely proud of her two children, Kevin and Jennifer. She enjoyed cooking weekly dinners at her apartment and keeping involved in her children's lives. She enjoyed playing games with her grandson, Jaden, and loved to make him laugh. She also spent much of her time with her mother and sister, Eileen and Jeanne, and loved them dearly.

Nancy experienced difficult times throughout life, however she did not let this impact her ability to express kindness. She was able to make friends wherever she went and will be forever missed for her corny jokes, playful personality, and kind-heartedness.

Nancy is survived by her mother Eileen, her sister Jeanne, her two children; Kevin and Jennifer, and her grandson Jaden. She will be extremely missed by all and may she forever be at peace.

As per Nancy's wishes, there will be a private service and interment at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield for immediate family members.
