Nelson C. Greeley

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in the Gray Funeral Home 318 East Broad St., Westfield for Nelson C. Greeley. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Visiting will be from 10 am until time of service in the funeral home.
Mr. Greeley age 74 passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2007 in Overlook Hospital. He was born in Windsor Maine and lived in Massachusettes, Westfield, Akron Ohio and then for the last 16 years, Murray Hill. For several years he maintained a summer residence in Maine.
He was a graduate of the Bentley School receiving a degree in Finance and Accounting.
He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Greeley was employed by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 42 years. He held several positions within the company. His last position he held prior to retiring in 1994 was that of National Sales Manager.
Mr. Greeley belonged to the Masons and the Chamber of Commerce in Mass. He was also a volunteer for SCORE and was a significant contributor to the Visual Arts Center of NJ.
Nelson is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dr. Margareta Greeley. His children, Peter and Stephanie Ann Stirrup. He will also be deeply missed by his three grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
