Peter D. Way, 67 of Westfield died on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at the Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center Impatient Hospice. Born in Elizabeth, he was a life long resident of Westfield. He graduated from Hamilton College, where he was a member of Delta Phi, and served as a national board member of that fraternity after graduation. He was a medic in the U.S. Army. Mr. Way worked for Chemical Bank in New York City as a branch manager before becoming a realtor in Westfield. He was a member of the National Association of Realtors and worked for the Johnson Agency, Inc. Mr. Way was active in the Young Republicans, bowled with the Presbyterian Church bowling team, and played in a duplicate bridge group. He was an avid golfer, reader, expert crossword puzzle solver, and long time opera lover.
He was the son of the late Donald D. and Barbara D. Way and is survived by a sister, Sharon W. Tittle of Westfield, and two brothers, Christopher S. Way of Seattle, WA, and Curtis G. Way of Jacksonville, MD. A memorial service for Mr. Way will be held in the Chapel of the Presbyterian Church of Westfield on Saturday November 4 at 11 am.
