Richard A. Miller, 75 of Lakewood passed away on May 12, 2008 at Kensington Manor Re-hab. In Toms River, NJ.
Visiting will be held on Friday from 10 until 12 noon at the Gray Funeral Home, 318 East Broad Street, Westfield, NJ. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
Mr. Miller was born in Poughkeepsie, NY and moved to Staten Island, NY at age seven. He later lived in Westfield for 30 years and also maintained a summer residence in Toms River. In 2002 he retired to Four Seasons, Lakewood, NJ.
He was a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1951 - 1955 aboard the U.S.S. Borie and the DD 704. Mr. Miller worked for several years as a salesman for the Santa Fe railroad in Manhattan. In 1970 he became affiliated with UPS in Kenilworth and worked as a driver until his retirement in 1985.
He is survived by his wife Mary L. (McIntyre) Miller whom he married in 1965. He is also survived by his brother, Constantine of Staten Island, and sisters, Vivian Hilton and Victoria Miller of Lakewood, NJ and several nieces and nephews.
