Robert L. Garcia

Robert L. Garcia, 77, of Washington Twp. (Warren County), NJ, passed away on Sunday December 13, 2020. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, to the late Manuel and Carmen Valle Garcia, Bob grew up in Union , NJ.
He attended Upsala College, and served in the US Air Force, where he was an automatic flight control specialist. Bob also served in the US Army. He was retired from Lockheed Electronics Co., Plainfield, NJ. He later worked for North American Radon Corporation, and the North American Plastic Technologies Corporation. After retirement Bob appraised, invested in and managed real estate properties. A motorcycle enthusiast, Bob enjoyed riding his Harley with his fellow bikers and was part of the HOG club. He rode across the country following Route 66, as well as taking trips to the home of his ancestors in Andalucia, Spain. Bob loved his animals, and enjoyed eating. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Marilyn (nee Sala) Garcia, his in-laws: Rose Lekkas and family, Gene Eggemann and family, Michael Sala and family, Carol Sala and family, and his faithful border collie Josie. Bob's visitation will begin at 9:00AM Saturday December 19, 2020, at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, where his funeral service will begin at 10:30AM. Interment with military honors will follow at Hazel Wood Cemetery, Clark, NJ.
