A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006 at 9:30 am in St. Michael R.C. Church, Cranford for Robert J. Hoffman. Cremation will be private.
Mr. Hoffman age 73 died on Feb. 1, 2006 in Hackensack Medical Center in Hackensack. He was born in Jersey City and lived in the Phillippines, Evanston, Illinois, Baltimore, Maryland, London, England and Cranford for the last 4 years.
He was a 1954 graduate of Holy Cross College in Massachusettes, receiving a BA in History.
From 1954 until 1957 he was in the US Marine Corps.
He was the Vice President of Group Sales from 1958 until 1976 with CNA in Chicago. Mr. Hoffman then began RJH Management Consulting in Baltimore. He retired in 1992 to spend time with his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his grandson, Christopher Williamson.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kathleen Hoffman (nee Chandless). Five children: Robert, Christopher, Kathleen Williamson, Elizabeth Allner and Patricia Knudsen. He will aslo be deeply missed by his seven grandsons and one granddaughter.
