Robert Alexander Luba, 65, of Whiting, NJ, formerly of Linden, died Friday April 29, 2011 in the Delaire Convalescent Center, Linden. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation from 7 -9 PM Tuesday May 3, 2011 at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, where the funeral service will begin at 10 AM, Wednesday May 4, 2011. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetey, Westfield. Born in Linden, Robert graduated from Linden High School, and attended Drake College, Elizabeth. He was retired from the Exxon Bayway Refinery, Linden. Known as Bob Luba, he performed as a pianist and keyboard player at the Holiday Inn, Edison, and Mario's in Metuchen, during the 1960s. He also wrote music and enjoyed photography. Bob was preceded in death recently by his beloved wife Eileen Gaughan Luba. He is survived by his loving sister: Mary Jane Luba of Linden, and brothers-in-law: David Gaughan and his wife Deborah, and James Gaughan all of Washington, NJ. Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
