Ruth E. Herzog age 87 died on Tuesday May 13, 2008 at Peggy House , Center For Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, NJ.
Born March 21, 1921 in Endicott, NY, she grew up in Westfield, NJ. She then lived in Cranford, NJ over 30 years, She then a resided in the Sarasota Florida area since 1976.
In Cranford she was president of the P.T.A. and the American Legion Auxiliary 212. Member of Colonia Country Club. In Florida, she was a volunteer at Sarasota Memorial Hospital for 12 years, and also was a member of Village Green Golf Club since 1986 and several bridge clubs.
She is pre deceased by her husband William who died in 1971. Survivers include a daughter Judith Pender, and her husband Michael of Cranford, and a son Raymond , and his wife Nancy, Of Irvine California. Grandchildren include Robert Pender and his wife Katrina of Hillsborough, NJ, and Christopher, Ryan, Jason, and Timothy Herzog, and one great grandson, Blake, all of California.
A memorial service will be held in Florida. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Center For Hope Hospice, 1900 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076.
