Ruth Alice Wallace

Ruth Alice Wallace, 75 , passed away on Wednesday August 8, 2012 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. Born in Jersey City in 1938, Ruth moved to Cranford and in 1948 and graduated from Cranford High School 1956. Ruth married her husband Donald on June 1, 1957 and was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cranford. She was very dedicated to the church while involved in the Presbyterian Womans Club, Couples Club and the Margaret Green Association. Ruth worked more than 22 years for American V. Mueller - Baxter - Cardinal Health Supplies of Edison , NJ where she worked in many positions before retiring. Ruth was a compassionate, caring, and energetic woman who enjoyed life to the fullest, never being discouraged by life's challenges. She was dedicated to her immediate and extended families. Also known by her middle name, Alice worked incredibly hard at all of his numerous endeavors. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, croching and making stuff for her grandchildren. Ruth leaves behind her husband Donald Wallace, son Rich Wallace & daughter in law Suzanne, son Ed Wallace & daughter in law Patricia and Daughter Wendy Donnelly & son in law Tony also 4 grandchildren Kelsey, Kourtney, McKenna and John. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9PM Sunday Aug. 19, Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford. The Life Celebration service will begin at 10AM Monday August 20, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
