Services for Skip Brader age 47 of Westfield will be on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 11 am in the Gray Funeral Home 318 East Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will follow in Firview Cemetery, Westfield.
Skip passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2006 in Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was a lifelong resident of Westfield who graduated from Westfield High School in 1977. He then attended Union County College and Northeastern University.
Skip was the owner and President of two local companies in Westfield that specialized in the design and building of electronic devices for the boating industry. The first Brader Engineering was established 15 years ago. The second, Terrapin Industries was started about 5 years ago. Most recently he began working as an electronic engineer for Electronic Devices and Controls in Parsippany.
He was the founder of BIG which stands for Brightwood Improvement Group. This organization in Westfield main objective was to help restore and maintain Brightwood Park in Westfield.
He is predeceased by his father Donald W. Brader Sr. He is survived by his mother Frances C. Brader. Three sisters; Margaret J Brader, Mary C. Brader and Dr. Donna B. Harkness.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
