Spiros Exarhos

Spiros Exarhos, 94, of Elizabeth, NJ, died on Friday April 14, 2023 at his residence. Born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Harilaos and Agatha Exarhos, he lived most of his youth in Iperos, Greece. He returned to America with his family, where he lived in Washington Heights, NY, NY.

Spiros worked for many years in the fur clothing industry in New York. He had been a resident of Elizabeth, NJ for more than 45 years. Spiros loved gardening, especially cultivating his grape vines. He was the beloved husband of 65 years of Antigoni Exarhos, his recently deceased wife.

He was also preceded by his brothers: Vasilis, and Theophanis, and his sister Irene. He leaves his to mourn him, his devoted daughter Agatha Zourzoukis, and son-in-law George, dear granddaughters: Annie and Vickie Zourzoukis,  brothers: Elices, and Polymia, and nieces and nephews.

Spiros’ funeral liturgy will begin at 10AM Saturday April 22, 2023, in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 250 Gallows Hill Road, Westfield, where the family will receive family and friends from 9:30AM until the time of the service.
