Local Businessman Dies Spiros Goros, 52, of Cranford, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2012. A visitation will take place Sunday, January 8 2012, from 7 to 9 p.m. with a Trisagion service at 7:30 pm at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave. in Cranford (grayfuneralhomes.com) (908) 276-0092. The funeral will begin at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. Born in Greece, Spiros came to America in 1971 with his parents and brother when he was 12 years old. He grew up in Union City, NJ before moving to Cranford with his wife and children in 1988. A living embodiment of the American Dream, he formed and owned two local businesses in Cranford, a contract embroidery firm called Spiros Embroidery, and a uniform company called Uniform Creations. He loved motorcycle riding, playing table tennis and going to rock concerts. Surviving him are his mother Maria, his wife Linda, his two children, Valerie and George, and his English Mastiff, Buddy.
