Theodore E. Sienicki, 90, peacefully passed away at Manor Care in Mountainside on Wed, Oct 15, 2008.
Born in Staten Island, May 4, 1918, Ted moved to NJ in 1945. He was a WWII Army Veteran who served in the Asian and European Theaters, including the Battle of the Bulge. He also was a public accountant (1945-1954), a Rutgers College graduate (1956) and CPA (1961), Union County Assistant Treasurer (1954-1977), Treasurer of Scotch Plains (1971-1972), and the former Treasurer of the Senior Citizens Club of Mountainside.
Ted is survived by his daughters, Jeanne Statile of Mountainside, Lorraine Thompson of NY, and Catherine DiMaria of NC. He was also predeceased by his son, Raymond of PA. He was the proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitations will be held at Gray Funeral Home, 318 E. Broad St., Westfield on Fri, 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mountainside, on Sat, Oct 18 at 10am. The interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in E. Hanover, NJ. For further information, please visit, grayfuneralhomes.com.
