Tracy Audrine Cascio, a resident of Plainfield, passed away on January 13th at the age of 66 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Tracy was born on September 12, 1943 in Arizona to Capt. Richard David and Carma Audrine Gruman. The family later relocated to Westfield, NJ where Tracy graduated from Westfield High School in1961. She earned an AS degree from Rutgers College of Nursing in1964 going on to work in the CCU of Overlook Hospital, and as a school nurse at Oak Knoll School in Summit, NJ. Tracy was an active member of her community and former president of FOSH (Friends Of Sleepy Hollow). Her love for animals led her to work tirelessly with several pet rescue organizations, and she was a well loved pet sitter in the neighborhood. She is survived by her son, Stacy J. Cascio: sister Sunny G. Rosso: brother Jeffrey G. Gruman; and grandchildren Tristen and Aiden Cascio. A memorial service willl be held at the Presbyterian Church in Westfield, 140 Mountain Avenue at 11 am on January 27th. Interment wil be at the Revolutionary Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorial donations may be made th the Center For Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, or your local ASPCA.
