Walter E. Young, age 83 died on Friday March 27, 2008 at the Centra State Hospital in Freehold.NJ.
Born in Flint, Michigan, he lived in Brooklyn, New York before moving to the Rossmore section of Monroe Township, New Jersey four years ago.
Walter was a motorman for the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) for 30 years before retiring in 1986.
He is survived by a son, Patrick Charles Young, and a daughter, Theresa Young. Also survived by four grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Gray memorial Funeral Home in Cranford, NJ. A service will be 11 AM immediately following the visitation hour. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Union.
Donations in lieu of flowers may me made to the North Shore Animal League in his memory.
