William John Dodds

A Memorial service will be 11 AM Friday January 11, 2008 at the chapel of the Presbyterian Church In Westfield for Mr. William John Dodds Sr. who passed away on Saturday December 29, 2007 at The Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ. Born in Plainfield, NJ, he lived many years in Westfield, New Jersey before moving to Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge one year ago. Mr Dodds was a World War Two Veteran serving in Australlia and the Phillipines , and earned a Bronze Star. He was an executive and President of C.L. Hill Manufacturing in Cranford from 1946 until his retirement in 1984. In his youth, he was a member of the Demolay in Plainfield. A fifty year member of the Echo Lake Country Club. Past President of the Cranford Rotary Club. He is survived by his wife of 23 years to Bernice Dodds. Two sons, William J. Jr. , and John Be. Dodd. Also survived by 4 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Arrangements by The Gray Funeral Home, Westfield.
