William Wirt Gilman age 91 died on Friday July 4, 2008 at his residence in Westfield, NJ.
Born in Park Ridge, he lived in Westfield for the last 36 years.
He was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Westfield. He served his country during World War Two as a Chaplain's Assistant.
Mr. Gilman was a top Salesman for Electrolux in East Orange for 65 years before his retirement. He was also an avid gardener.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years to Rosemarie Gilman. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be private at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Gray Funeral Home, both in Westfield. A memorial service will be Saturday July 19, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church of Westfield.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the church at One East Broad St. Westfield, NJ 07090
