William F. Kanzler, 90, a longtime resident of Cranford, died on Sunday June 18, 2017, at JFK Medical Center-Hospice, Edison, NJ.
William's visitation will be on Thursday June 22nd from 5:00-8:00PM at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30AM Friday June 23, 2017, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40 Alden St., Cranford. Interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park, Linden. Born August 26, 1926 in Elizabeth, and raised in Linden, Bill was a retired tool and dye maker for Park Plastics, Linden. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Okinawa during World War II. He enjoyed skiing, sailing, and trips to Maine. William was preceded in death by his beloved wife Gertrude Marie Lyons Kanzler. He is survived by his son: William B. Kanzler and his wife Christine of Cranford, his daughter Christine Quinn and her husband Daniel of Avon, CT, brother: Richard Kanzler and his wife Faith of Tuscon, AZ , and sister: Margaret Odin and her husband John of Rahway.
