Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 12 noon in the Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave. Cranford for William A. Simpson, Sr. Officiating will be the Rev. Karen Chamis. Military Honors and Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of service.
Mr. Simpson passed away at the age of 85 on Friday, October 26, 2007 at the Consulate Care Center in Hudson Florida. He was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Cranford for many years before moving to Florida last year.
Mr. Simpson was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army. He was employed by Exxon - Mobil in Linden, NJ as a chemical operator for 35 years, retiring in 1983.
He is predeceased by his wife, Lillian Simpson.
Survivng are his sons, William A. Simpson, Jr. and Douglas J. Simpson. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Adriance and his granddaughter, Ashley Lynn.
