Helen was born in Elizabeth and has been a lifelong resident of Westfield. She graduated from McAllister College in Minnesota with a Masters in Education. From 1965 until her retirement in 1995 she taught in the Martin Luther King School in Edison. She was a member of the NJEA. Her husband, Joseph C. Battaglia died in 1965. She is survived...
